Description

You manage physical infrastructure and provide hands-on hardware support within the data center environment.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, test, and label cross connects including CAT5, COAX, and Fiber.
• Set up physical infrastructure such as cages, cabinets, ladder racks, and fiber trays.
• Execute remote hands services including hardware installation, power strip setup, rail mounting, and cable management.
• Troubleshoot and reboot customer equipment as requested.
• Acknowledge and respond to data center infrastructure equipment alarms in a timely manner.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in data center environments.
• Proficiency in the installation, termination, and testing of cabling.
• Hands-on experience with hardware installation, rails, and cable management.
• Basic understanding of power generation and distribution.
• Basic understanding of mechanical support equipment including HVAC and generators.
• Knowledge of client systems, fire detection/suppression, and local security monitoring.

Preferred Skills

• Ability to work with power strips and rack-level components.
