Description

You will manage physical infrastructure and hardware health within the data center environment.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Install, upgrade, and replace IT hardware components including CPUs, memory, hard drives, power supplies, and hot-swappable modules.
• Perform hardware diagnostics, power cycles, and cabling inspections involving tracing and testing.
• Monitor and troubleshoot HVAC, electrical, and fire suppression systems to prevent component overheating.
• Execute incident response, change requests, and hardware replacements within the data hall.
• Manage asset audits, shipping/receiving, and documentation of processes and event logs.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience installing, monitoring, and maintaining data center equipment.
• In-depth knowledge of data center environments, servers, and network equipment.
• Hands-on experience troubleshooting HVAC and IT hardware components.
• Ability to support 24/7 operations and respond to after-hours issues.
• Experience with network cabling, tracing, and testing.
• Proficiency in documenting technical processes and maintaining event logs.
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with engineering teams.

Preferred Skills

• Experience escorting outside contractors to ensure compliance with data center work rules.
