Description

You will support server operations within customer data centers, owning hardware startups, shutdowns, and troubleshooting.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, stage, and execute data center hardware startups and shutdowns per established protocols.
• Perform diagnostics and troubleshoot hardware issues, replacing faulty components to minimize disruption.
• Validate grounding, staging, labeling, and cabling against safety and deployment standards.
• Decommission hardware for simple changes like memory upgrades or OS rebuilds following standard procedures.
• Complete assigned tickets efficiently, meeting established SLAs and maintaining accountability for service quality.

Required Skills

• 2+ years of experience as a data center technician.
• Exceptional knowledge of server hardware and component failure analysis.
• Solid experience utilizing IPMI for diagnostics.
• Experience administering software tools for diagnostics, testing, and firmware updates.
• Network troubleshooting capabilities across Layer-1, Layer-2, and Layer-3.
• Experienced with Windows Server OS and WinPE OS administration.
• Ability to work autonomously within a local or dispersed team environment.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with Windows OS, CCNA, MCP/MCSE, PowerShell, Python, and Bash.
