Description

You will maintain data center hardware operations, performing setups, diagnostics, and decommissioning with minimal supervision.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Stage, set up, and perform hardware startups and shutdowns for racks, drives, and switches according to standard protocols.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware issues, identifying root causes and replacing faulty components to minimize business disruption.
• Conduct post-execution quality checks to ensure proper grounding, labeling, and cabling compliance with safety and network design standards.
• Decommission hardware for upgrades and refreshes, following standard procedures with minimal guidance.
• Communicate, report, and escalate incidents to management while meeting established SLAs and KPIs.

Required Skills

• 2-5 years of experience as a data center technician.
• CompTIA A+ or equivalent experience.
• CompTIA Server+ or equivalent experience.
• CCENT or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on Windows OS experience.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and safely climb ladders.
• Physical capability to stand, walk, bend, and twist for extended periods.

Preferred Skills

• CCNA certification.
• MCP/MCSE certification.
• Scripting experience with PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
