Description

Manage physical server health, hardware lifecycle, and troubleshooting within the data center environment.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot server outages and perform diagnostics to identify root causes using hardware diagnostic systems and remote management tools.
• Execute hardware repairs and component replacements, including CPUs, memory, storage, and power supplies.
• Manage vendor support cases for systems under warranty, tracking progress to ensure timely resolution.
• Document all troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and vendor case details within ticketing systems.
• Collaborate with internal IT teams to escalate complex technical problems and maintain system availability.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in data center, server support, or IT infrastructure roles.
• Hands-on experience with hardware repair and part replacement in enterprise server environments.
• Proficiency with Linux OS command-line.
• Strong knowledge of server hardware components, including processors, memory, storage, and networking.
• Experience using system diagnostics and management software such as Dell OpenManage, HP iLO, or Lenovo XClarity.
• Experience with remote server monitoring tools and data center management.
• Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs.
