Description

Set up, stage, and perform startups and shutdowns of IT equipment while conducting post-execution quality checks for grounding, labeling, and cabling.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware issues, performing break-fix repairs on faulty components.
• Decommission hardware for system refreshes, including memory upgrades and OS rebuilds.
• Monitor systems for equipment failures and respond to program error messages effectively.
• Follow specific instructions and safety protocols during all operations.

Required Skills

• Computer Science degree OR CompTIA A+ or Server+ certifications.
• 1 to 5 years of experience as a Data Center Technician or similar hardware repair role (e.g., Geek Squad).
• Strong knowledge of computer hardware, servers, and components.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware issues.
• Basic understanding of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Flexibility to work non-standard business hours, including weekends and holidays.

Preferred Skills

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
