Description

You will maintain and support physical data center infrastructure and network hardware.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Install, move, and remove servers, routers, switches, and associated cabling.
• Manage shipping, receiving, and inventory tracking of all equipment.
• Perform audits of hardware, small computer parts, and cable inventory.
• Respond to incident tickets and create change records.
• Support the installation and testing of Category 6, fiber, twinax, and power cables.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in a data center environment.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco switches and routers, F5, Checkpoint, and DellClient.
• Knowledge of NetApp storage and smart power strip configuration.
• Familiarity with Unix, Microsoft, or Appletalk networking.
• Formal training in Wide Area Networking (WAN) and Local Area Networking (LAN).
• Understanding of network protocols and basic telecommunications.
• Experience with incident and change management processes.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Cisco, HP, Dell, and IBM servers.
• Assist with network planning, engineering, and troubleshooting.
