Description

You will maintain server fleet health and support global field deployments through hardware troubleshooting and physical network setup.

Responsibilities

• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and failure analysis on server hardware, systems, and firmware through controlled testing.
• Support field deployments by maintaining deployment equipment, images, and software.
• Execute physical network tasks including cable management, labeling, tracing, and Layer 1-3 troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with engineering teams by providing precise feedback on hardware failures and serviceability.
• Develop SOPs, knowledge articles, and technical guides to support field sustaining activities.

Required Skills

• 2 to 4+ years of experience as a data center technician.
• Deep understanding of server hardware components and system failure types.
• Proficiency using Linux and Windows Command-Line for hardware troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with network installation and Layer 1, 2, and 3 troubleshooting.
• Ability to perform cable management, port map updates, and switch setup assistance.
• Strong communication skills for conducting pre-work meetings and providing daily status updates.
• Physical ability to independently lift up to 50lbs regularly.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Skills

• 5+ years of experience with CCNA or MCP/MSCE certifications.
• Scripting experience using Python, Bash, or Powershell.
