Description

Lead large-scale data migration from legacy systems to a third-party vendor platform.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end data migration tasks for consolidating multiple source applications into a single target system.
• Design and plan data migration strategies, including extraction and preparation for vendor import.
• Investigate source system structures to document data mapping requirements.
• Implement data cleansing and standardization strategies to ensure data quality throughout the lifecycle.
• Direct conversion testing and validation, resolving issues with business customers and technical teams.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in data migration, conversion, or related technical tasks.
• Hands-on experience with large-scale ETL processes and migrations from legacy to modern systems.
• Strong technical background in SQL Server, SSIS, SQL, and Stored Procedures.
• Proficiency in data mapping, development, validation, and implementation.
• Experience with Waterfall and Agile methodologies in large-scale software projects.
• Advanced proficiency with Excel and various ETL tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder liaison.
• Must be a resident of South Florida to support on-site work in Miami, FL.

Preferred Skills

• Mainframe applications development and support, including COBOL (batch and online).
• Experience with Integrated Database Management System (IDMS) databases.
