Description

You will convert existing PDF documents to ensure accessibility compliance with SEC 508 of the Rehabilitation Act. You own the end-to-end conversion process from source PDF to accessible web content.

Responsibilities

• Convert PDFs into accessible formats and web content pages using Adobe Action Wizard.
• Identify form fields, set alternate text, and tag text to meet SEC 508 standards.
• Organize reading order and HTML structure to maintain document integrity.
• Review converted documents for quality control and perform necessary adjustments.
• Collaborate with the team to improve conversion processes and provide technical support.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in PDF conversion and accessibility compliance.
• Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat and its accessibility toolsets.
• Experience managing reading orders, tagging, and form field identification.
• Proven ability to convert PDFs into web content pages.
• Strong attention to detail for maintaining original document formatting.
• Ability to work onsite in Richmond, VA, 3 days per week.

Preferred Skills

• Proficiency in HTML.
• Knowledge of SEC 508 of the Rehabilitation Act.
