Description

You will own the configuration, maintenance, and optimization of Netscout network monitoring environments. Your work ensures accurate visibility into network performance and service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Netscout probes and tools (nGeniusONE, Infinistream/ISNG, nGeniusPULSE).
• Onboard new network elements, interfaces, IPs, VLANs, and monitoring profiles.
• Configure and validate network protocols including DOCSIS, IP, Ethernet, VoIP/SIP, DNS, DHCP, and video delivery.
• Troubleshoot performance issues, data gaps, appliance alerts, and collection anomalies.
• Maintain runbooks, SOPs, and configuration documentation for operational support.

Required Skills

• 3–7 years of experience in network performance monitoring, specifically with Netscout probe and nGenius platforms.
• Strong understanding of IP networking, TCP/UDP, L2/L3 protocols, routing basics, and packet analysis.
• Hands-on experience with packet capture, DPI analysis, and network troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Linux, SSH, CLI tools, and system-level debugging.
• Proficiency in Python and Linux environments.
• Experience with protocols: IP, Ethernet, VoIP/SIP, DNS, DHCP, TCP/UDP.

Preferred Skills

• Good understanding of cable/MSO network technologies (DOCSIS, CMTS, vCMTS).
