Build data pipelines and modeling structures to translate business requirements into actionable reporting.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into queries against relational tables for reporting purposes.
• Manage data from on-premises and cloud-hosted databases, including stored procedures and performance tuning.
• Write automation scripts to extract and curate data.
• Perform data modeling and prepare datasets for downstream use.
• Ensure quality control through automated and manual testing, including stress testing.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional experience in data engineering.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Scala, Bash, and SQL.
• Experience working with on-premises and cloud-hosted databases.
• Ability to solve non-trivial business problems using machine learning algorithms.
• Experience performing data modeling and performance tuning.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills for global team collaboration.
• Ability to work effectively in an agile, virtual environment alongside teams in San Jose, CA.

Preferred Skills

• Experience leading technical initiatives and showing high ownership of deliverables.
