Description

Design, develop, and maintain Python-based services, Lambda functions, and data pipelines while provisioning AWS infrastructure using Terraform.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate AI/ML and search capabilities on OpenSearch, including vector search and semantic retrieval.
• Collaborate with data, platform, and security teams to deliver end-to-end solutions across AWS services.
• Modernize Dynatrace alarming using Terraform and Python.
• Champion code quality through reviews, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and observability.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to architectural decisions and technical standards.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional software development experience with strong Python proficiency, including type hints and testing.
• Experience provisioning and managing AWS infrastructure using Terraform.
• Expertise in OpenSearch, including index design, query DSL, and vector/k-NN search.
• Knowledge of AI/ML concepts, including embeddings, RAG patterns, and foundation model integration.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services: DynamoDB, Glue, S3, API Gateway, Lambda, IAM.
• Proficiency with GitHub for version control and collaboration.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with enterprise data catalog or governance platforms like Collibra.
• Knowledge of Kafka or other event-driven architecture.
• Experience with AWS Lake Formation.
