Description

Key Responsibilities

Own day to day operations of data pipelines, ingestion frameworks, and analytical datasets across AWS and/or GCP.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve data pipeline failures, data quality issues, and performance bottlenecks.
Build and maintain ETL / ELT pipelines using Talend and/or dbt.
Develop Python based utilities, automation scripts, and operational tooling for monitoring, alerting, and reconciliation.
Support data reprocessing, historical backfills, and controlled re drives with strong governance and auditability.
Partner with Data Engineering, BI, and Platform teams to ensure data freshness, accuracy, and SLA adherence.
Implement and maintain operational runbooks, SOPs, and on call support processes.
Support cloud data platforms on AWS and/or GCP, including cost, performance, and reliability optimization.
Participate in incident management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure adherence to data governance, security, and compliance standards.


Required Skills & Qualifications

7–10 years of hands on experience in Data Operations / Data Engineering / Platform Operations.
Strong experience with ETL / ELT tools such as Talend and/or dbt.
Advanced Python skills for data processing, automation, and operational tooling.
Deep hands on experience with AWS and/or GCP data services and cloud operations.
Strong understanding of:

Data pipeline orchestration
Data quality checks and reconciliation
Batch and near real time data processing
Experience supporting production data platforms with strict SLAs.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem solving skills.
Ability to work in a 24x7 operational support model (as required).


Good to Have

Experience in Retail / QSR / Consumer facing industries.
Exposure to large scale transactional data, sales, or operational reporting systems.
Experience with data observability, monitoring, and alerting tools.
Familiarity with DevOps / CI CD practices for data pipelines.
Experience working in regulated or high availability environments
