Description

You own the day-to-day operations of data pipelines, ingestion frameworks, and analytical datasets across AWS and/or GCP.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Talend and/or dbt.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve data pipeline failures, quality issues, and performance bottlenecks.
• Develop Python-based utilities, automation scripts, and operational tooling for monitoring, alerting, and reconciliation.
• Implement and maintain operational runbooks, SOPs, and on-call support processes.
• Partner with Data Engineering, BI, and Platform teams to ensure data freshness, accuracy, and SLA adherence.

Required Skills

• 7–10 years of hands-on experience in Data Operations, Data Engineering, or Platform Operations.
• Strong experience with ETL/ELT tools such as Talend and/or dbt.
• Advanced Python skills for data processing, automation, and operational tooling.
• Deep hands-on experience with AWS and/or GCP data services and cloud operations.
• Strong understanding of data pipeline orchestration, data quality checks, and reconciliation.
• Experience supporting production data platforms with strict SLAs in a 24x7 operational support model.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in Retail, QSR, or consumer-facing industries with large-scale transactional data.
• Familiarity with DevOps/CI/CD practices for data pipelines and data observability tools.
