Description

Build and maintain a scalable, cloud-native data platform using Databricks, transforming legacy systems into automated, governed data ecosystems.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize scalable data pipelines using Databricks, Python, and SQL.
• Build reusable ETL/ELT frameworks and automation components rather than one-off scripts.
• Implement Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold) for reliable data processing.
• Enforce data governance using Unity Catalog, including security, lineage, and access controls.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to define platform architecture and standards.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer.
• Hands-on expertise with Databricks and Python.
• Strong SQL and data modeling skills.
• Experience developing scalable ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Familiarity with modern cloud data platforms.
• Understanding of data architecture and software engineering best practices.
• Ability to communicate technical decisions effectively.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Unity Catalog and data governance implementation.
• Background in healthcare or regulated industries.
• Interest in AI and automation practices.
