Description

You will manage and troubleshoot Unified Communications networks and Session Border Controllers. You will analyze, configure, and troubleshoot networks utilizing mixed media and protocols. You will build lab setups to duplicate problems and validate design changes. You will provide remote troubleshooting support and resolve UC incident tickets. You will develop automation scripts to improve infrastructure efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and troubleshoot UC networks using mixed media and protocols.
• Build lab setups to replicate issues and validate hardware/software changes.
• Resolve assigned UC incident tickets and provide remote support.
• Develop automation scripts to improve infrastructure efficiency.
• Coordinate with PS, TAC, and field services for complex issues and RMAs.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in UC engineering or network troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, or Perl for automation and scripting.
• Experience with AXL, REST, and SOAP APIs.
• Knowledge of voice protocols including SIP, MGCP, H.323, SCCP, and ISDN.
• Ability to analyze logs and traces from CUCM, CUCM IM&P, CUCC, and gateways.
• Understanding of Cisco IP telephony network infrastructure.
• ITIL Foundation level knowledge.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across multiple collaboration products.

Preferred Skills

• Experience managing and troubleshooting Ribbon Session Border Controllers (SBC).
• Experience with Oracle SBCs.
