Description

You will design, document, and operate the overall data strategy, including schema definitions, system contracts, security, compliance, and SLAs.

Responsibilities

• Define and evangelize data strategy among stakeholders through design, documentation, and cross-team negotiations.
• Build and lead a team responsible for data platform operational excellence, including change management, SDLC, and CI/CD.
• Implement a technical roadmap for continuous improvement, covering tech stack upgrades, cost optimization, and compliance.
• Operate automated test cases for platform performance, security, and reliability.
• Mentor and coach engineers through hands-on career development and feedback.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience in data engineering.
• Proficiency with Azure ecosystem tools including ADF, Databricks, Logic Apps, and Fabric.
• Strong programming and query skills in Python, SQL, and Spark.
• Experience with Snowflake and cloud data warehousing.
• Hands-on expertise in ETL/ELT, data orchestration, Data Mesh, and Lakehouse architectures.
• Experience managing data quality in OLAP/OLTP environments.
• Practical knowledge of SDLC, CI/CD, and agile development methodologies.
• Ability to implement monitoring, alerting, metadata management, and data modeling.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Salesforce within the wealth management domain.
