Description

You will build and maintain data-intensive APIs and cloud-based infrastructure for large-scale datasets.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain RESTful, data-intensive APIs.
• Implement stream processing using Apache Kafka.
• Design and manage data models for large-scale relational or NoSQL databases.
• Develop and maintain containerized application deployments.
• Construct cloud-based infrastructure on major providers.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of software engineering experience.
• 2+ years of professional experience with Go.
• 2+ years building and maintaining RESTful APIs.
• Experience with Apache Kafka for stream processing.
• Proficiency with Docker or similar containerization platforms.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Strong understanding of Unit Testing and Test Driven Development (TDD).
• Experience in data modeling for large-scale databases (Relational or NoSQL).

Preferred Skills

• Experience with gRPC, protocol buffers, Apache Beam, or Google Cloud Dataflow.
• Experience with Kubernetes or Google Kubernetes Engine.
• Background in bioinformatics or working with scientific datasets, variant data, and genotype to phenotype correlation.
