Description

You will design and maintain data systems and machine learning models within an AWS environment, working on-site in Houston, TX.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain ETL pipelines for large datasets using AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, or Kafka.
• Design, develop, test, and implement reliable machine learning models and algorithms.
• Integrate new applications into existing technical infrastructure and business processes.
• Analyze and enhance existing systems to ensure efficiency and reliability.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing, and building machine learning models.
• Proficiency in Python development, specifically using Spark, PySpark, and APIs.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services including Lambda, Event Bridge, Step Functions, SNS, SQS, S3, and CloudWatch.
• Experience with AWS Redshift and RDBMS such as MS SQL Server or Postgres.
• Strong SQL skills including query writing and performance tuning.
• Knowledge of machine learning, deep learning AMIs, and natural language processing (NLP) techniques.
• Understanding of IAM Roles and Policies.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code using CloudFormation.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and agile methodologies.
