Description

You will design, implement, and support high-quality data products and platforms for the Alexa organization.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Partner with product managers and software engineers to ingest datasets into the Alexa Devices BI data warehouse.
• Build a self-service data platform with capabilities for data discovery, lineage, and proactive monitoring.
• Design and implement complex data models, metadata structures, and automated analytics environments.
• Write scalable, highly tuned SQL queries over billions of rows in large warehouse environments.
• Develop efficient solutions to replicate data from production systems into the BI data store.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience with Python, Scala, Java, and SQL.
• Proficiency with AWS services including Redshift, EMR, Hadoop, Hive, and ETL processes.
• Experience working with terabytes of structured and unstructured data.
• Ability to design and implement data modeling and metadata management solutions.
• Strong background in building scalable analytical solutions and data products.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with AWS Bedrock, SageMaker, S3, Athena, Kinesis, and Lambda.
• Familiarity with Pig, Data Lake architectures, and business intelligence tools.
• Experience in dashboard development, data presentation, and driving adoption of data-driven decision-making.
