Description

You will design, develop, and maintain cloud-based big data and analytics infrastructure within an agile data services team. This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Build high-reliability systems to provide secure, accurate, and timely data for analytics, data modeling, and financial reporting.
• Code data pipelines and perform hands-on administration of existing databases and big data systems.
• Design and implement processes for data distribution, archiving, and backup/recovery plans.
• Perform data modeling and architecture design to support OLTP and warehousing applications.
• Monitor storage capacity, system performance, and deploy changes across development, staging, and production environments.

Required Skills

• 4+ years of experience in big data and data architecture.
• 4+ years of experience in basic-level administration of data infrastructure.
• 3+ years of coding experience in Java, Python, or R.
• Proficiency in SQL, PL-SQL, query tuning, optimization, ETL, ELT, and Data Warehousing.
• Hands-on experience with Hadoop and Spark.
• Technical proficiency with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Strong expertise in Data Modeling.
• Experience with custom archive and purge procedures and scripts.
• Familiarity with Agile development practices and SDLC.

Preferred Skills

• 4+ years of experience building, managing, and maintaining a team of Data Engineers or DBAs.
