Description

You will design, implement, and manage data pipelines and time-series databases within an AWS environment.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize complex SQL queries and database schemas for relational and NoSQL systems.
• Build and manage data pipelines using Python and AWS services including S3, Lambda, and Redshift.
• Implement and manage time-series data workflows in Timestream, including retention policies.
• Troubleshoot performance issues and scale pipelines to handle increasing data volumes.
• Maintain cloud-based database best practices for security, backup, and disaster recovery.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering.
• Expertise in SQL for complex querying, optimization, and database design.
• Proficiency in Python for data engineering and AWS integration.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services including S3, Lambda, and Redshift.
• Experience with time-series databases, specifically Timestream.
• Practical use of Python libraries such as Pandas, SQLAlchemy, or PySpark.
• Experience with schema design and performance tuning for relational and NoSQL databases.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of managing data pipelines, security, and automation on AWS.
