Description

You will build and maintain data pipelines on cloud platforms, ensuring data quality and security for analytical solutions.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement cloud-native data pipelines to ingest, cleanse, and structure data from multiple sources.
• Develop data quality rules, monitoring processes, and automated checks to troubleshoot anomalies.
• Implement security best practices across pipelines and infrastructure.
• Write unit tests, deploy code, and produce technical documentation for application development activities.
• Mentor junior engineers and review their dataset implementations.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of experience as a data engineer or in a related role.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and scripting languages.
• Experience with programming languages such as Python or Java.
• 3+ years of experience with cloud technologies (GCP, AWS, or Azure).
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining moderately-complex data pipelines.
• Strong Git usage and CI/CD integration skills.
• Ability to work with tools like Spotfire, Looker, or Tableau.
• BS degree in a STEM major or equivalent; Master’s preferred.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with distributed data processing tools like Apache Spark or Apache Beam.
• Knowledge of GCP services including Dataflow, Dataproc, BigQuery, and Pub/Sub.
