Description

You will build and maintain data workflows and ETL pipelines to support state agency data warehousing needs.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage idempotent ETL pipelines and data flows using Azure Data Factory and Snowflake.
• Design automated ETL flows, including Snowpipe automation and Snowflake Streams for dimension versioning.
• Build an efficient orchestrator to schedule jobs, execute workflows, perform data quality checks, and coordinate task dependencies.
• Investigate ETL pipelines to identify data quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and resolve production issues.
• Document implementations, test cases, and deployment documents required for CI/CD.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of data engineering experience with a focus on data warehousing.
• 5+ years of experience developing ETL using Azure Data Factory, Informatica PowerCenter, or SSIS.
• 5+ years of experience working with relational databases such as Oracle, Snowflake, or SQL Server.
• 3+ years of experience creating stored procedures using Oracle PL/SQL, SQL Server T-SQL, or Snowflake SQL.
• 3+ years of experience analyzing project requirements and developing detailed ETL specifications.
• 2+ years of experience creating pipelines in Azure Data Factory (ADF).
• 2+ years of experience with GitHub, SVN, or similar source control systems.
• 2+ years of experience processing both structured and unstructured data.
• Bachelor's or Advanced Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or Analytics.

Preferred Skills

• 3+ years of data modeling experience in a data warehouse environment.
• 2+ years of experience with Python or PowerShell scripting.
