Description
You will build and maintain data pipelines and infrastructure within a DataOps environment in Montgomery, AL.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement internal process improvements, including infrastructure re-design for scalability and automation of manual processes.
- Build extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) infrastructure using AWS and SQL to ingest data from various sources.
- Develop and maintain optimal pipeline architectures and data fabrics to support data mesh concepts.
- Perform data cleansing, transformation, and loading while validating observability processes to ensure data quality and integrity.
- Collaborate with product, design, and executive stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and resolve technical data issues.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of professional experience in a DataOps role or similar data engineering unit.
- Proficiency with SQL and AWS technologies for building data infrastructure.
- Extensive knowledge of data pipelines, data fabrics, data mesh, data warehouse, and data mart concepts.
- Hands-on experience with Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) and data warehouse front-end tools.
- Experience assembling large, complex datasets to meet functional and non-functional business requirements.
- Ability to design, monitor, and update data systems using programming languages aligned with business needs.
- Strong troubleshooting skills to isolate defects in data processes or software.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.
Preferred Skills
- 1-2 years of experience implementing practices outlined in the Data Management Body of Knowledge (DMBOK).
- Experience working in a healthcare delivery or payer environment, such as Medicaid, Medicare, or Integrated Health Systems.
