Description

You will design and build scalable data platforms, handling real-time and archived data flows for transactional and risk systems.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into efficient queries against relational tables and generate reports.
• Design and build scalable, performant databases and data stores.
• Develop database and ETL components, including stored procedures, performance tuning, and archiving.
• Build automation scripts using Python and Unix/K-Shell.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Experience with ETL tools and frameworks such as Spark, Snowflake, or Databricks.
• Strong relational database skills (DB2, Sybase, SQL Server, Postgres, or Greenplum).
• Experience with Unix/K-Shell scripting.
• Deep knowledge of relational database performance tuning, including indices, statistics, and denormalization.
• Familiarity with trade and investment banking data flows.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Agile development processes.
