Description

You will engineer database infrastructure to ensure stability, scalability, and capacity planning.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Perform application DBA functions including schema changes, bottleneck analysis, performance improvements, and outage resolution.
• Develop and optimize stored procedures, ETL processes, and database tools.
• Review and enhance queries and stored procedures for performance.
• Enforce database security, standards, and guidelines.
• Participate in the full project life cycle from design and testing to implementation and ongoing support.

Required Skills

• 3–7 years of experience working with relational databases, specifically DB2 Linux or Sybase.
• Strong scripting skills on Linux platforms using Perl, Python, Unix, or K-Shell.
• Expertise in relational database performance tuning and indexing strategies.
• Experience with database statistics, reorganizations, de-normalization, and memory management.
• Proven ability to create high-quality, optimized stored procedures and queries.
• Ability to collaborate with IT partners and global business teams to deliver requirements.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of Greenplum, Data Lakes, or CI/CD tools.
• Background in the finance domain.
