Description

You will own the support, maintenance, and optimization of enterprise data pipelines, ETL workflows, and SQL-based analytics. This role focuses on production stability, data quality, and operational efficiency.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and optimize enterprise data pipelines and ETL workflows using Azure Data Factory and SSIS.
• Perform advanced SQL analysis, query tuning, and reconciliation to troubleshoot production issues and support operational reporting.
• Investigate and resolve production data incidents, including latency, failures, and discrepancies across databases and downstream systems.
• Drive automation initiatives for monitoring, alerting, and issue remediation to improve operational health and SLA adherence.
• Collaborate with business users and platform engineering teams to execute data validation, integrity checks, and root cause analysis.

Required Skills

• Strong SQL expertise: complex joins, subqueries, window functions, stored procedures, and query optimization.
• Hands-on experience supporting ETL/ELT processes and workflows.
• Proficiency with ETL tools/platforms: Azure Data Factory and SSIS.
• Knowledge of relational and cloud databases: SQL Server and Azure SQL.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools to build dashboards and alerts.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in production support environments.
• 7+ years of experience in data engineering or data operations.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with batch and near real-time data movement processes.
• Familiarity with data lifecycle management and operational support processes.
• Ability to create operational runbooks and troubleshooting guides.
