Description

You will design, build, and maintain high-volume data pipelines, databases, and automation scripts to support governance and reporting.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable databases and datastores in Postgres to ensure integrity and performance.
• Write complex SQL queries and create views for downstream reporting consumers.
• Automate data extraction, transformation, loading, and monitoring using Python and Shell scripting.
• Translate business requirements into technical data solutions and functional designs.
• Implement data security, access controls, and capacity planning for scaling.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in data development within complex, high-volume environments.
• 7+ years of experience writing ad-hoc and complex SQL queries.
• 5+ years of experience writing production-quality Python code.
• Proficiency in Shell scripting for automation tasks.
• Strong experience with RDBMS systems, specifically Postgres.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Information Technology.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with minimal supervision.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Tableau, Power BI, or similar reporting tools.
• Knowledge of Git, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with Graph DB (Stardog), ontology modeling, and semantic graph querying.
