Description
You will lead the development of data strategies for public healthcare datasets to drive organizational and client decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Develop data strategies centered on public healthcare datasets including Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal or state sources.
- Design and maintain ETL processes and data pipelines for efficient ingestion, transformation, and storage.
- Build scalable data models that integrate public and proprietary datasets.
- Collaborate with analytics, market access, and consulting teams to address specific data requirements.
- Implement QC processes and governance frameworks to ensure data quality and accuracy.
Required Skills
- 4+ years of experience in data engineering roles.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data engineering, or a quantitative discipline.
- Proficiency in Snowflake and associated technologies.
- Expertise in healthcare data architecture, specifically CMS data, Medicare FFS claims, Part D PDE data, and Medicare Advantage encounter data.
- Hands-on experience with Python, SQL, or SAS for data manipulation.
- Experience integrating secondary sources like survey data, geographic/social determinants of health, and drug or formulary databases.
- Proven ability to build and optimize ETL pipelines and workflows in AWS or Azure environments.
- Strong knowledge of data modeling, warehousing, and governance principles.
Preferred Skills
- Advanced degree in a quantitative field.
