Description
Build and manage data systems to support digital substation objectives and utility operations.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement data pipelines to integrate diverse sources, including OSIsoft PI systems, into a centralized analytics platform.
- Develop, maintain, and optimize real-time data flows from digital substation systems to ensure data quality.
- Create and manage secure, scalable, and efficient databases and data storage solutions.
- Prepare data for predictive and prescriptive modeling to enhance substation asset management and reliability.
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering, specifically within a utility or energy sector environment.
- Expertise in OSIsoft PI architecture, system integration, and data management.
- Proficiency in Python, Java, or Scala.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with NoSQL databases.
- Experience with workflow management tools such as Apache Airflow or NiFi.
- Familiarity with common data science toolkits.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
