Description

Data Engineer and Onsite Lead responsible for developing data solutions, workflows, and pipelines within the Non-Financial Risk Technology team. You will translate user requirements into technical designs, manage database performance, and lead onsite operations.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain databases and datastores to ensure optimal performance, scalability, and data integrity.
• Write complex SQL queries to analyze data and create views for downstream reporting consumers.
• Interact with business users to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Implement and enforce data security, access controls, and compliance with industry standards.
• Utilize Python and Shell scripting to automate database tasks, including extraction, transformation, loading, and monitoring.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in data development and solutions in complex, high-volume environments.
• 7+ years of SQL experience with the ability to write ad-hoc and complex queries.
• 5+ years of Python experience for writing clean, effective code.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret business requirements and translate them into technical designs.
• Experience with RDBMS systems, specifically Postgres DB.
• Proficiency in scripting languages, including Python and Shell.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with minimal supervision and resolve priority conflicts.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with reporting tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
• Knowledge of ETL tools, Git, and Jenkins/CI-CD pipelines for automated code deployment.
