Description

You will design, build, and optimize data pipelines and platforms leveraging deep Microsoft SQL Server expertise.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement ETL/ELT workflows moving data from various sources into SQL Server data marts and warehouse layers.
• Write high-performance T-SQL (stored procedures, functions, views, CTEs) and optimize queries using execution plans and indexing.
• Build dimensional models (star/snowflake) and enforce data standards, including SCD strategies.
• Implement job orchestration, monitoring, alerting, and data quality checks for production pipelines.
• Use Git and CI/CD tools to version, test, and deploy database and data pipeline changes.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional data engineering experience.
• Advanced T-SQL skills, including complex joins, window functions, and dynamic SQL.
• Strong hands-on experience with SQL Server engine internals (indexing, partitioning, execution plans).
• Proven experience building ETL/ELT using SSIS, Azure Data Factory, or similar tools.
• Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts (Kimball/Dimensional modeling) and SCDs.
• Proficiency with Git and at least one CI/CD tool (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
• Experience scripting in Python or PowerShell.
