Description

You will build and maintain data pipelines and distributed computing systems in Plano, TX.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy application code using Python, Scala, or Java.
• Manage big data processing using Spark and distributed computing tools.
• Implement and maintain real-time data and streaming applications.
• Design and manage data storage using SQL, NoSQL, and data warehousing solutions.
• Operate within UNIX/Linux environments using shell scripting.

Required Skills

• Bachelor's degree.
• 4+ years of experience in application development.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, Spark, and Kafka.
• Experience with Snowflake and AWS.
• Experience with distributed tools such as Hadoop, Hive, EMR, or MySQL.
• Experience with NoSQL implementations like MongoDB or Cassandra.
• Experience with data warehousing tools like Redshift or Snowflake.
• Experience with UNIX/Linux commands and shell scripting.

Preferred Skills

• 5+ years of experience in application development.
• 2+ years of experience with real-time data and streaming applications.
• 2+ years of experience working with Agile engineering practices.
