Description

You will design and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines in Azure Synapse and Data Factory, with a focus on Salesforce data ingestion and Power BI analytics support.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Synapse, Data Factory, and related Azure services.
• Build and manage data ingestion workflows from Salesforce, handling API integrations, schema alignment, and performance tuning.
• Develop and maintain data models, transformations, and semantic layers to support Power BI reporting.
• Optimize Synapse pipelines, SQL queries, and data storage for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Troubleshoot pipeline failures, Salesforce API issues, and Power BI dataset refresh problems.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on experience configuring, designing, developing, and testing Power BI dashboards and reports.
• 5+ years supporting Power BI datasets, dataflows, and Direct Query/Import models.
• 5+ years of SQL mastery, including advanced query writing, ETL/ELT, and performance tuning.
• 5+ years developing efficient PL/SQL procedures.
• 3+ years working with structured and semi-structured data formats (JSON, CSV, Parquet).
• 3+ years designing and optimizing scalable data pipelines using Azure Synapse, Snowflake, or Databricks.
• 3+ years strong proficiency in Python or Scala for data processing.
• 2+ years experience with Azure cloud services (Synapse, Data Lake, Data Factory, Azure SQL, monitoring).
• 2+ years experience with Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS), Delta Lake, and data modeling concepts (star/snowflake schema).

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Experience with T-SQL and data query optimization.
