Description

You will lead the migration of dbt models from Redshift and Snowflake to Trino (Iceberg).

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Convert Redshift and Snowflake SQL syntax to Trino syntax within dbt models.
• Refactor and optimize data models to align with Iceberg best practices.
• Manage version control for all dbt models using Git.
• Update Tableau data sources to ensure alignment with new infrastructure.
• Collaborate with workbook owners to validate and test migration impacts.

Required Skills

• 2+ years of experience in data engineering, BI, or analytics roles.
• 1+ years of experience in financial services or SaaS companies.
• Strong proficiency in SQL across Redshift, Snowflake, and Trino (Iceberg) dialects.
• Deep understanding of dbt, including model development, macros, and Jinja templating.
• Experience with Git for version control.
• Experience with BI tools, specifically Tableau, and data source construction.
• BS/BA in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working in startup environments.
