Description

You will design, build, and operate large-scale data infrastructure and near real-time ingestion engines within a cloud-based data lake environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement stable, scalable, and low-cost ETL pipelines to move data from production systems into data lakes and end-user applications.
• Architect efficient data and reporting structures, balancing trade-offs between scalability, performance, and user functionality.
• Collaborate with business owners to define key questions and build datasets that drive business intelligence solutions end-to-end.
• Perform design reviews and provide technical feedback on integration, performance, and scalability issues.
• Mentor and train engineers while influencing engineering standards and long-term technology strategies.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering.
• Expertise in data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines.
• Advanced SQL proficiency.
• Experience with RDBMS, Columnar storage, and Cloud platforms.
• Hands-on experience with EMR.
• Proven ability to manage the design and lifecycle of large datasets.
• Strong technical communication skills for working across engineering and business teams.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with AWS technologies including Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, Kinesis, Firehose, and Lambda.
• Knowledge of non-relational databases such as object storage, document, key-value, graph, or column-family stores.
