Description

You will build and manage automated data pipelines and transformation processes within a Snowflake environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement Snowpipe to automate data ingestion from Amazon S3 into Snowflake.
• Utilize Snowflake Streams for change data capture and manage data transformations via stored procedures.
• Optimize Snowflake performance through query tuning and storage cost management.
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to data ingestion, transformation, and Snowflake operations.
• Develop documentation for Snowflake architecture, data pipelines, and transformation processes.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of IT experience with at least 4 years of hands-on Snowflake development.
• Expertise in Snowflake Snowpipe, Snowflake Streams, and writing stored procedures.
• Advanced SQL skills for complex queries, data manipulation, and performance optimization.
• Deep understanding of Snowflake architecture, data warehousing, data modeling, and ETL processes.
• Experience integrating Snowflake with Amazon S3 for data ingestion.
• Basic experience with AWS services, specifically Amazon S3.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Snowflake certification(s).
• Programming experience with Python or JavaScript.
• Advanced degree in a technical field.
