Description

You will build and maintain data pipelines using Sybase and Python within a Unix environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage data processes using Python and KSH scripting.
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries on Sybase database platforms.
• Operate and maintain data workflows within Unix-based systems.
• Monitor system health and data pipeline performance.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering roles.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Sybase database platforms.
• Advanced scripting skills in Python and KSH.
• Hands-on experience working in Unix environments.
• Degree in any graduate discipline.
• Experience with Apache Airflow or Autosys orchestration.
• Knowledge of observability tools such as Grafana, Splunk, or Loki.

Preferred Skills

• Working knowledge of containerisation and distributed compute.
• Exposure to Java or Scala.
