Description

Required Skills:

• Strong SQL and data modelling experience
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake (architecture, performance tuning, security features)
• Experience with ETL/ELT tools (dbt, Airflow, Fivetran, Matillion, etc.)
• Proficiency in Python or similar scripting language
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS)
• Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance practices

Nice to Have:

• Snowflake certification (SnowPro Core/Advanced)
• Experience with real-time streaming (Kafka, Kinesis)
• Exposure to BI tools (Tableau, Looker, Power BI)

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines feeding into Snowflake
• Write and tune complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and Snowflake-specific features (Streams, Tasks, Snowpipe, Time Travel)
• Model data warehouses/marts (star/snowflake schemas) to support analytics and reporting
• Manage Snowflake performance, cost optimization (warehouse sizing, clustering, caching), and security (roles, RBAC, masking policies)
• Integrate data from multiple sources (APIs, databases, cloud storage) using tools like dbt, Airflow, Fivetran, or similar
• Collaborate with data analysts/scientists to ensure data quality and accessibility
• Implement CI/CD for data pipelines and maintain documentation
