Description

You will build and manage data pipelines and warehouse components within a banking and finance environment.

Responsibilities

• Consolidate and analyze financial data including budgets, income statements, balance sheets, and P&L.
• Build stored procedures and ETL jobs to reconcile transactions by comparing and correcting data.
• Develop SQL Server T-SQL procedures and functions for batch processing and reporting.
• Design and contribute to data warehouse components, relational database management systems, and data modeling solutions.
• Build SAS EG and SAS DI jobs to manage the month-end close process and resolve financial data discrepancies.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles.
• Expertise in advanced SQL, writing stored procedures, and functions.
• 3+ years of experience with SAS tools including SAS DI, SAS Enterprise Guide, SAS Management Console, and SAS BI.
• 3+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle.
• 3+ years of experience with C# or Java.
• 3+ years of experience handling semi-structured data sets such as JSON and XML.
• Experience configuring and installing applications on Windows, Linux, or Unix servers.
• Knowledge of DNS, ports, and firewalls.
• Experience managing distributed systems and clusters for batch or streaming data using Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, or Flink.

Preferred Skills

• Background in banking, financial accounting, and risk reporting.
• Understanding of Balance Sheets, Profit and Loss, and Market Risk.
