Description

Lead the end-to-end migration of Oracle ODS/ODI workloads to Microsoft Fabric, owning the redesign and optimization of ETL/ELT pipelines.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Migrate and modernize Oracle ODS and ODI workloads to Microsoft Fabric (OneLake, Data Factory, Lakehouse, Warehouse).
• Analyze and transform data integrations from Ellucian Banner SIS and Banner ODS.
• Develop scalable data models and enforce best practices in data architecture and governance.
• Manage and mentor offshore data engineering teams to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to support reporting, analytics, and business continuity.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in data engineering, including cloud-based data platform migrations.
• Strong hands-on experience with Oracle ODS, ODI, SQL, PL/SQL, and Python.
• Proven expertise with Ellucian Banner SIS and Banner ODS (required).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Services, and Power BI.
• Solid understanding of data warehousing, data modeling, and ETL/ELT frameworks.
• Experience leading offshore teams and delivering projects in a distributed model.
• Experience with reporting tools such as Cognos or Argos.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working in higher education technology environments.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps or GitHub.
• Knowledge of data governance, security, and modern data platform best practices.
