Description

Lead data initiatives by designing and developing complex ETL/ELT pipelines using dbt Cloud and GCP services.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical design and development of data pipelines and dbt models.
• Build and maintain dbt Cloud projects, including macros, tests, and documentation.
• Optimize SQL queries and manage BigQuery performance tuning.
• Develop and orchestrate data workflows using Python, Airflow, and GCP Composer.
• Implement real-time data processing solutions with Kafka and Dataflow.

Required Skills

• 8+ years in data engineering or analytics engineering.
• 3+ years hands-on experience with dbt Core and dbt Cloud.
• Expert-level SQL, query optimization, and performance tuning.
• 3+ years experience with GCP data services: BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Cloud Composer.
• Proficiency in Python for data pipeline development and automation.
• Experience with data orchestration tools like Airflow.
• Strong background in data warehousing, dimensional modeling, and data vault.
• Experience with modern data stack tools (Spark, Scala, PySpark, Databricks).

Preferred Skills

• Experience with real-time data processing using Kafka and Pub/Sub.
• Familiarity with traditional ETL tools such as Informatica.
