Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable data pipelines and platforms.
• Manage a technical team of data engineers through mentorship and guidance.
• Architect solutions integrating structured and unstructured data sources.
• Oversee project lifecycles, including resource management, scope, and timelines.
• Implement data governance, automated testing, and HIPAA/GDPR compliance monitoring.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in data engineering.
• 3+ years in a technical leadership role.
• Experience in life sciences, healthcare, or pharmaceutical industries.
• Proficiency with Apache Spark, Hadoop, and Airflow.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud platforms.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Scala, or Java.
• Knowledge of SQL, NoSQL, Snowflake, and Redshift.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Bioinformatics, or related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with IoT data integration.
• Background in genomic data processing.
