Description

You will own data governance strategy and execution for mission-specific data standards.

Responsibilities

• Analyze existing governance processes and recommend improvements to data management maturity.
• Define requirements for data quality metrics, rules, and definitions in collaboration with business owners.
• Establish policies for data lifecycle management and compliance with legislative mandates such as ZTA and EBPA.
• Identify data owners, stewards, and domain leads to support governance training and adoption.
• Conduct annual assessments of data management activities and guide users through governance best practices.

Required Skills

• 8+ years working with business stakeholders, data modeling, and data architecture concepts.
• 5+ years leading data governance initiatives in multiple settings.
• Strong understanding of database paradigms and technologies.
• Excellent knowledge of the DAMA framework.
• High proficiency in SQL, AWS, or other cloud-based tools.
• Ability to analyze, develop, and document processes, procedures, policies, and charters.
• Strong technical writing, presentation, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience implementing governance for mission-specific data standards.
• Financial markets experience.
• Experience with metadata management tools (Collibra).
