You will develop and manage data governance capabilities using Microsoft Purview and related tooling.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Set up and manage Microsoft Purview accounts, collections, and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).
• Design metadata ingestion workflows for technical, business, and operational metadata.
• Validate end-to-end lineage for datasets and reports across integrated systems.
• Create and manage custom classification rules for sensitive data like PII, PCI, and PHI.
• Automate Purview operations, including source registration and tagging, using scripting and orchestration tools.

Required Skills

• 4–6 years of experience in data governance or data management.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Purview, including label creation, policy management, and DLP integration.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Purview to handle compliance aspects (e.g., Compliance Manager).
• Experience integrating Purview with Azure Data Lake, Synapse, SQL DB, Power BI, and Snowflake.
• Expertise in using scripting languages such as PowerShell and REST APIs for automation.
• Familiarity with data orchestration tools like Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Talend.
• Ability to translate technical data governance concepts for business stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

• Understanding of data regulations including GDPR, CCPA, SOX, and HIPAA.
