Description

You will own the implementation and operationalization of enterprise data governance frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Lead setup, configuration, and operations of Microsoft Purview, including Data Map, Catalog, Lineage, and Classification.
• Design and operationalize enterprise-wide governance frameworks, defining ownership models, stewardship processes, and RACI structures.
• Build end-to-end lineage across ingestion, transformation, and consumption layers using metadata harvesting from diverse sources.
• Maintain Purview policies, sensitivity labels, roles, permissions, and govern data adoption across domains.
• Translate complex technical concepts into business narratives to facilitate decision-making across technical and business teams.

Required Skills

• Strong, hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview (Data Map, Catalog, Scanning, Lineage, Classification, Glossary).
• Proven experience implementing data governance programs from planning through operational execution.
• Familiarity with Azure fabric, data lakehouses, SQL platforms, and BI ecosystems.
• Knowledge of data modeling, metadata standards, lineage frameworks, and data quality concepts.
• Background in data engineering, data architecture, or AI/ML data pipelines.
• Exposure to investment management or financial services data domains (e.g., Security master, Trades & transactions).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capability across all organizational levels.
• Ability to manage cross-functional programs and influence without direct authority.

Preferred Skills

• 15+ years of data governance experience within a large enterprise.
• Experience with complementary tools such as Solidatus, Collibra, or Informatica.
