Description

Lead data governance initiatives within a large IT support team, ensuring compliance with Australian Information Management, Security, and Privacy legislation.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver data management reporting for senior management and executive stakeholders.
• Implement technical data governance processes, including lineage mapping, data quality rules, and CDE tagging.
• Manage data risks related to data leakage, cloud computing, and systems access.
• Apply Australian Information Management, Security, and Privacy legislation to organizational data frameworks.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in data management or governance roles.
• Deep knowledge of APRA CPG 235 Managing Data Risk.
• Thorough understanding of Privacy Reforms and their practical applications.
• Expertise in DAMA's Data Management Body of Knowledge (DMBOK).
• Hands-on experience with SQL and Python.
• Proficiency in MS Excel for analytical tasks.
• Experience with Cloud Data Governance, Catalogue tools, and Data Quality Tooling.

Preferred Skills

• Specific experience with APRA Data Privacy requirements.
