You will define and own the enterprise data governance framework, establishing policies, standards, and metadata strategies across cloud and analytics platforms.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Lead governance implementation on Databricks and Unity Catalog, defining catalog structures, classification models, and access rules.
• Implement metadata management, lineage tracking, and data quality controls to ensure data trust and usability.
• Unify data across fragmented systems by designing scalable models and reusable governance patterns.
• Enforce data privacy, security, and regulatory compliance (PII, GxP, HIPAA) across analytic environments.
• Mentor data stewards and drive adoption of governance standards across business and technical teams.

Required Skills

• 7+ years in data governance, data management, or enterprise data architecture.
• Hands-on expertise with Databricks and Unity Catalog, including catalog design, access policies, and lineage.
• Strong experience with AWS data services, including S3, Glue, Lake Formation, Redshift, and IAM.
• Proven ability to govern data across fragmented systems, complex pipelines, and multi-cloud or hybrid environments.
• Deep understanding of MDM, metadata management, and data quality frameworks.
• Knowledge of data privacy and compliance regulations such as PII, PHI, GxP, and GDPR.
• Excellent communication skills to translate governance concepts for non-technical audiences and influence without authority.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in life sciences, healthcare, or other regulated industries.
• Background with product-oriented data platforms or customer-facing data services.
• Familiarity with governance platforms like Collibra, Alation, or data.world.
